Pre-translation - how to remove breaks and optional hyphens in MS WordI recently translated a Word document that had been imported from another format and contained lots unwanted line breaks, paragraph marks and optional hyphens throughout the text.

I wanted to get rid of this extra formatting to clean up the text before importing it into my CAT tool.

You can’t use a simple find and replace to remove these formatting symbols, but there are codes that you can enter into the Find field to find and remove them. The find and replace codes are:
